Welcome to Region 188 of the American Youth Soccer Organization.

2019 Fall Status

Aloha Region 188 Soccer Families,

We are working hard to launch our Fall Season. Our biggest challenge is our lack of volunteer coaches. It was another big PCS summer for us. We appreciate those who have stepped forward but we need more…

If you are thinking about it and need convincing, go no further, BENEFITS OF COACHING: 1) You control your practice schedule; 2) More quality time with your player and their friends; 3) Opportunity to make a difference; 4) More fresh air and sunshine than you can imagine.

2019 Fall Program Status (12 Aug 2019)

16/19UB and 16/19UG– We were unable to form teams due to insufficient numbers. We are working to place those interested in playing on rosters with our other regions.

14UB – We are in the final stages of splitting our players into two teams. Practices have started. First game is 24 AUG.
14UG – Practices have started. We are still looking for a few players to join the girl's team. First game is 24 AUG.

12UB – We are in the final stages of splitting our players into two teams. Practices will begin shortly. First game is 7 SEP.
12UGWe need one Head Coach and one Assistant Coach (we also need Referees) to enable us to split our players into two teams and begin practice. Once we have a commitment from another coach, we can move forward with practices. First game is 7 SEP.

10UB and 10UGWe need Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Referees for this age group. Our Age Group Coordinator will be on the mainland for the next 10 days dealing with a family illness. Progress will pick up upon his return. Please email if you are interested in volunteering. We could also use a few more 10U girl players. First game is intended to be 7 SEP.

8UWe need Head Coaches and Referees. We could also use a few more 8U girl players to make our rosters more robust. We are planning the first games on 7 SEP.

6UWe need a few Assistant Coaches. This program is Saturday mornings only, from 8:00-9:15am. We plan to start on 7 SEP.

5UWe could always use a few more Assistant Coaches. This program is Friday evenings only, from 5:00-6:15pm. We plan to start on 6 SEP.

4U - We need a Program Coordinator and a few Assistant Coaches. This a basic motor skills development program with a soccer theme. We have not determined a day and time for this once-a-week program session. We will flex with our volunteer availability.

If you can lend a hand, please send me an email ([email protected]) and let me know where you can help us.  Also please login to our registration system and complete your volunteer application.  This is a two-part process this year.  Once you complete the AYSO portion, you will be directed to “Sterling Volunteers” to initiate a background check.  You will need to pay $25 dollars to initiate.  That fee is reimbursable from the region (we are working on automating that system but it will be a few more weeks before it is ready).

Please be patient as we work hard to get this Fall Season up and going. We will do our best to keep everyone informed. We are all volunteers. Let us know soonest if you can help.

Thanks for your support!

Yours in soccer,

Ken Honeker, Volunteer
