6U Program Location - Fall 2023Aloha Region 188 Six-and-Under (6U) Soccer Families,
Please read the entire email.
The anxiously awaited start of our 6U soccer program is upon us. Our 6-and-Under (6U) will begin on Saturday, 9 SEP (tentative) and continue each Saturday morning through 4 NOV. Our sessions will normally go from 8:00-9:15 AM. Please come 15 minutes early on the first session Saturday (9 SEP - tentative) to facilitate handing out uniforms and verifying team assignments.
We will be conducting the 6U Program in a modified jamboree format. Our entire 6U Program will occur at the same time. We will have a large number of players participating. We will divide this large group into smaller groups. We will have a planned program for each week.
In order to manage these weekly programs I would like to ask for the help of approximately several additional parents from the boys’ side and another four (4) parents from the girls’ side to act as assistant coaches. A few of you have already volunteered. I would like to have two (2) assistant coaches per group of 8-10 players. Players will be divided into “teams” for organizational purposes. These “teams” will stay the same, for the most part, all season. The “teams” will conduct the skill development activities together each week and then scrimmage amongst themselves each week.
The volunteer assistant coaches will execute the activities that are planned for each week’s program and oversee the scrimmages. The program and activities will be provided, so no preparation is required on your part, other than a review of the activities that are planned.
Please email me ([email protected]) if you would like to volunteer and in what capacity. I would ask that you also register on-line as a volunteer. To register as a volunteer you can login to our Regional Management System (RMS) where you registered your players. Once in your account, you can click on [Volunteer Opportunities] and complete the registration process.
