Attention Volunteers:  AYSO has updated the AYSOU training platform.  All of your completed training on the old platform "AYSOU" has been converted over.  The "How to Access AYSOU" can be found at the link.

Volunteer Registration and Training

With technology improvements and the impact of COVID-19, much of our training is at least in-part available on-line via an updated training platform called "AYSOU".  To access AYSOU you must register as a volunteer.  Instructions follow:

How to Access AYSOU

1.  
Register as a volunteer under your account in our SportsConnect Regional Management System (RMS) 
a.  To register as a volunteer, you must create an account in the RMS.
b.  After you have created the account or if you already have one,
click on the [Volunteer] tab on the left side of the account page.
c.  Note: If one parent has created the account to register players, and the other parent wants to volunteer, the volunteer must create and account login in order to be credited with the on-line training and certifications
        d.  Once you have completed the AYSO Volunteer Registration, you will be directed to complete a background check via Sterling Volunteers.  The prompt to do
              that will be at the completion of the AYSO Volunteer Application.
e.  Click here for a step-by-step process of completing the volunteer application.

2.  We ask each of our volunteers to complete the following courses as a minimum:

a.  The courses are available under the 'Online Courses' tab in the 'Coaching Training' Folder in AYSOU: 
(1) 
AYSO's Safe Haven Certification (Child and Volunteer Protection Training) under Training Library/Safe Haven in AYSOU.
(2) 
CDC Heads Up Concussion Training under Training Library/Safe Haven in AYSOU
(3) Sudden Cardiac Arrest
 Training under Training Library/Safe Haven in AYSOU

b.  The following course is required available via an external link:
(1) SafeSport Training - Available by clicking the box next to the training listing in your volunteer tab and clicking on the [Renew and Update] button.  

3.  There is no cost to the volunteer, and no cost to take the coursework.

4.  In addition, we ask that our coaches complete the age-appropriate training course for the age division they will be working with.  The courses are available under the 'Training Library' tab and 'Coach Training' folder:

1. 4U/5U - Playground/Schoolyard Soccer Program Leader - Online  (How To Guide Here)
2. 6U - 6U Coach - Online  (How To Guide Here)
3.  8U - 8U Coach - Online (How To Guide Here)
4. 10U - 10U Coaching Training - Online + In-Person Field Session (How To Guide Here)
5  12U - 12U Coaching Training Pre-Course (Part 1) - Online  
            - 12U Coaching Training (Part 2) - Full In-person Course
6.  14U - Intermediate 14U Pre-Course (Part 1)
             - Intermediate 14U Coach (Part 2) - Full In-Person Course
       

Note: For 10U, 12U and 14U There are additional in-person requirements beyond the on-line training.
